About this what to watch wheel

The hardest part of a film night is the twenty minutes spent choosing one. This wheel starts with broad genres so you can narrow the field in a single spin, then pick within it.

It works even better with actual titles. Paste your watchlist in — one per line — and let the wheel choose. For a group, put everyone’s suggestion on the wheel so nobody has to argue for their pick.

Switch to No Repeats if you are working through a list over several nights and do not want the same title twice.

How to use this wheel

  1. Review the 8 starter choices below. Rename, disable or replace any that do not fit.
  2. Keep Random mode to allow repeat winners, or choose No Repeats in Wheel Settings.
  3. Click the wheel to spin. The result saves locally before it appears.
  4. Export results as CSV, or share a link to send someone their own copy.

Customize your odds

Each starter entry has weight 1. Turn on Weights & colors to adjust its chance. An entry’s probability is its weight divided by the total weight of the eligible choices. Learn how weighted odds work.

Changing a color or spin speed does not change the winner. Read the selection rules.

Questions about the what to watch wheel

Can I paste my watchlist?

Open the choices list and paste your own, one per line or separated by commas. A spreadsheet column pastes in cleanly too.

How do I stop the wheel repeating a film?

Switch to No Repeats. Each title is removed once it has been selected, until you start a new round.

Can everyone add one suggestion?

Yes. Add each suggestion as one entry and leave the weights equal for equal chances among eligible suggestions.

Can I weight a film I really want to see?

Yes. Turn on Weights and colors and give it a larger share — the wheel shows the resulting odds next to every choice.
