How to use the wheel spinner
- Add your options. Replace the example list, type a choice or paste names separated by lines, commas or spreadsheet rows.
- Choose your selection rules. Allow repeats with Random, or give every eligible entry one turn with No Repeats and Fair Round.
- Spin and see the result. Click the wheel, or press Space outside an input. Keep the winner, eliminate it or undo your latest eligible spin.
A custom wheel you can use again
Rename entries, choose individual colors, change the spin duration and save multiple wheels. Add up to 5,000 choices. Small lists are easier to read on the wheel; the winner is always announced in text.
Your choices and results save in this browser. Export a full wheel backup before changing devices or clearing site data. Share a link when you want someone to have their own copy.

| Option | How it works | Useful for |
|---|---|---|
| Random | Every enabled entry is eligible on each spin. Repeat winners are possible. | One-off decisions and games |
| No Repeats | A selected entry sits out until you start a new round. | Drawing several different names |
| Fair Round | The same no-repeat rules, organized around everyone getting a turn. | Classroom participation and sequential team assignments |
| Custom weights | Applies to any mode. An eligible entry with weight 3 has three times the chance of one with weight 1. | Decisions with unequal preferences |
The browser’s secure random source selects the winner before the animation starts. Wheel speed and the stop button do not change the result. See the weighted probability example.

Questions about the wheel
How do I use a random picker wheel?
Add your choices, select a mode, and press Give it a spin. The winner appears after the animation. Keep the choice for another draw, disable it, or undo the latest eligible spin.
Does every choice have an equal chance?
Yes, when all eligible entries have the same weight. Give an entry a larger weight to increase its chance. Duplicate labels are separate entries; two copies of a label each have their own chance.
How do I spin a wheel of names without repeats?
Open the name picker, paste one name per line and choose No Repeats or Fair Round in Wheel Settings. Start a round and spin once per person you need. A selected name stays out until the next round.
Can I save and share my wheel?
Your wheel saves automatically in this browser. Export a backup to move it to another device, or generate a share link that opens an independent copy. Shared links do not include history or round progress.
Are my choices uploaded?
Wheel entries and history are stored in your browser, not uploaded to a product server. If you export or share a wheel, anyone receiving the file or link can read the choices.
Can I use the wheel on a phone without WebGL?
Yes. When the visual wheel is unavailable, the text interface uses the same selection, saving, history and undo rules. Reduced motion can also skip the long animation.
Do I need an account?
No. Spinning, weights, local saving and backup export are free and do not require signup.
