About this day of the week wheel

Seven weekday names are ready for a quick random choice. This can help with a story prompt, a classroom activity, or a flexible plan where several days genuinely work. Disable days with existing commitments before asking the wheel to decide.

The wheel chooses a weekday name rather than a calendar date. For a specific date range, use the Dates activity tool and review any exclusions there. This template has no calendar connection and cannot check anyone’s availability.

How to use this wheel

  1. Review the 7 starter choices below. Rename, disable or replace any that do not fit.
  2. Keep Random mode to allow repeat winners, or choose No Repeats in Wheel Settings.
  3. Click the wheel to spin. The result saves locally before it appears.
  4. Export results as CSV, or share a link to send someone their own copy.

Customize your odds

Each starter entry has weight 1. Turn on Weights & colors to adjust its chance. An entry’s probability is its weight divided by the total weight of the eligible choices. Learn how weighted odds work.

Changing a color or spin speed does not change the winner. Read the selection rules.

Questions about the day of the week wheel

Can I choose only a weekday?

Disable Saturday and Sunday before spinning; the five remaining days have equal chances with equal weights.

Does it create a calendar event?

No. It produces a result on the wheel. Add any agreed event to your calendar yourself.

Can I draw the days in a random order?

Use No Repeats and spin seven times, or fewer if you have disabled some days.
