About this random month picker

This month picker includes all twelve calendar months with equal starting weights. A selected month can set the season of a story, choose a classroom discussion theme, or assign a month to an informal creative challenge.

Disable months you do not want and spin among the remaining entries. The result does not include a year or a day, and it does not use the current weather or event calendar. Add those details separately if you are turning the result into a real plan.

How to use this wheel

  1. Review the 12 starter choices below. Rename, disable or replace any that do not fit.
  2. Keep Random mode to allow repeat winners, or choose No Repeats in Wheel Settings.
  3. Click the wheel to spin. The result saves locally before it appears.
  4. Export results as CSV, or share a link to send someone their own copy.

Customize your odds

Each starter entry has weight 1. Turn on Weights & colors to adjust its chance. An entry’s probability is its weight divided by the total weight of the eligible choices. Learn how weighted odds work.

Changing a color or spin speed does not change the winner. Read the selection rules.

Questions about the random month picker

Does February have a smaller chance?

No. Every month is one equal-weight entry. The number of days in a month does not change its chance.

Can I draw all months without duplicates?

Yes. Choose No Repeats, then spin once for each month you need.

Can I select a full random date?

Use the Dates activity tool for actual dates within a range. This wheel selects month names only.
