About this random country wheel

A random country wheel picks somewhere to look up, plan around or quiz a class on. Twelve well-known countries are loaded to start. Replace them with a continent, a travel shortlist or the countries in this week’s lesson, and the wheel becomes yours.

Teachers use No Repeats so a full round covers every country on the list exactly once. Each selection sits out until the round completes, which spreads attention evenly instead of returning to the same three names.

For a geography challenge rather than a random pick, the country shape game asks you to name a country from its outline, and the hot and cold game hides a mystery country you narrow down with distance clues.

How to use this wheel

  1. Review the 12 starter choices below. Rename, disable or replace any that do not fit.
  2. Keep Random mode to allow repeat winners, or choose No Repeats in Wheel Settings.
  3. Click the wheel to spin. The result saves locally before it appears.
  4. Export results as CSV, or share a link to send someone their own copy.

Can I limit the wheel to one continent?

Open the choices list and paste your own, one per line or separated by commas. A spreadsheet column pastes in cleanly too.

How do I give every country one turn?

Switch to No Repeats. Each country is removed after it is selected, so a completed round covers the whole list once before anything repeats.

Is there a geography game to go with it?

Yes. The country shape game shows a silhouette to identify, and the hot and cold country game gives distance and direction clues until you find the mystery country. Both are free and need no account.
